The Human Resource Manager is responsible for aligning HR strategies with overall business objectives to drive organizational performance, workforce effectiveness, and long-term growth. This role focuses on organizational development, workforce planning, leadership support, and building a high-performance culture. The Strategic HR Manager partners closely with senior leadership to ensure people initiatives directly support company goals.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Partnership with Business Leadership
- Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the organization’s mission, vision, and business objectives.
- Partner with executive leadership to support organizational growth, restructuring, and transformation initiatives.
- Provide strategic guidance on workforce planning, succession planning, and talent management.
Organizational Development
- Design and implement performance management systems that drive accountability and results.
- Support culture initiatives that promote engagement, inclusion, and retention.
- Lead change management efforts during organizational shifts.
Employee Relations & Engagement
- Provide expert guidance on employee relations matters.
- Develop programs to enhance employee engagement, retention, and morale.
- Promote a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
Compensation & Benefits Strategy
- Oversee competitive compensation and benefits programs.
- Conduct market analysis to ensure internal equity and external competitiveness.
- Align rewards strategies with performance and business outcomes.
Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
- Develop HR policies and procedures that mitigate organizational risk.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of labor regulations and best practices.
HR Analytics & Reporting
- Utilize data and analytics to inform strategic HR decisions.
- Monitor key HR metrics (turnover, engagement, productivity, etc.).
- Present workforce insights to executive leadership.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- 7+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3 years in a strategic leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practices.
- Proven experience in workforce planning and organizational development.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- HR certification preferred (SHRM-SCP, SPHR, or equivalent).
