Job Purpose: WCP is looking for an experienced HR Manager to join our team as a full-time Human Resources Manager. This person would work closely with WCP's President. The position requires strong communication and organizational skills. Job Duties:
- Build and Maintain Relationships: Foster relationships with both internal and external clients to ensure staffing goals are achieved and organizational objectives are met.
- Lead Recruitment Process: Develop and update comprehensive job descriptions, actively source and recruit top-tier candidates, conduct a thorough screening of resumes, and facilitate both phone and in-person interviews while administering company assessments.
- Conduct Background Verifications: Verify candidates' backgrounds by contacting references and utilizing a third-party software platform to ensure the quality and integrity of hires.
- Facilitate Onboarding and Benefits Administration: Enroll new employees by issuing necessary forms and applications, verify completion, and provide guidance on benefit programs, fostering positive employee experiences from day one.
- Oversee Payroll Administration: Enter data, prepare, and review bi-weekly payroll reports for salaries and commissions, ensuring accuracy. Additionally, prepare recurring payroll reports associated with 401k, tax reporting, and other benefit-related reports.
- Facilitate Training and Performance Improvement: Coordinate new employee orientation and onboarding processes, assist with training programs, manage employee termination processes, and monitor employees under Performance Improvement Plans to optimize organizational performance.
- Manage HR Compliance: Oversee and update HR documents related to new hires and terminations, ensuring adherence to legal requirements and company policies.
- Manage Time and Attendance: Track all employees' sick, personal, and vacation time, ensuring accurate record-keeping and compliance with company policies.
- Maintain Personnel Records and Documentation: Organize, compile, and update company personnel records and documentation, ensuring accuracy and accessibility for HR audits and compliance purposes.
- Maintain Confidentiality: Maintain manager and employee confidence by handling human resources information with the utmost confidentiality and discretion.
- Policy and Procedure Management: Prepare, manage, and store paperwork for HR policies and procedures, ensuring accessibility and compliance across the organization.
- Coordinate Temporary Staffing: Obtain and orient temporary help by liaising with temporary services, providing necessary requirements and criteria, and offering direction to meet organizational needs.
- Ensure Legal Compliance: Avoid legal challenges by proactively complying with legal requirements related to human resources management, staying abreast of relevant labor laws and regulations.
- Additional Responsibilities: Perform any other duties as required or assigned to support the HR function and organizational objectives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or relevant experience
- 5+ years' experience in Human Resources
- Strong recruiting and demonstrated ability to improve talent acquisition strategies
- Demonstrated expertise training managers and employees
- Strong organizational, critical thinking and communications skills
- Attention to detail and good judgement
