As we grow, we are seeking a seasoned HR leader to build, lead, and execute a scalable, modern human resources function.
Position Summary
The Director of Human Resources is the singular internal HR leader for Symmetry Anesthesia. This role owns both HR strategy and day-to-day execution across the organization.
While Symmetry partners with a national HR vendor for legal, regulatory, and compliance guidance, this role is responsible for translating that guidance into operational practice and ensuring consistent implementation across the business.
This is a high-accountability, hands-on leadership role. The Director of HR must be comfortable operating at both strategic and tactical levels—developing people strategy while also rolling up their sleeves to ensure flawless execution.
Key Responsibilities
1. HR Strategy & Organizational Planning
· Develop and execute Symmetry’s HR strategy aligned with company growth plans
· Partner with executive leadership on workforce planning and organizational design
· Build scalable infrastructure to support multi-site clinical operations
· Drive succession planning and leadership pipeline development
· Establish HR KPIs and report on workforce trends (retention, engagement, productivity)
2. Talent Management & Performance
· Design and lead performance management processes
· Establish consistent goal-setting and accountability systems
· Develop leadership coaching frameworks for Chiefs and operational leaders
· Drive employee engagement initiatives aligned with Symmetry’s culture
· Oversee corrective action and performance improvement processes
3. Onboarding & Offboarding Oversight
· Oversee structured onboarding processes for physicians, CRNAs, and corporate team members
· Manage offboarding procedures to ensure compliance and operational continuity
· Supervise and develop HR Coordinator responsible for onboarding logistics
· Continuously improve onboarding experience to support clinician retention
4. HRIS & Systems Optimization
· Own HRIS functionality and optimization (Paylocity or equivalent platform)
· Ensure accurate employee data management
· Lead system improvements to enhance reporting, workflow automation, and manager visibility
· Integrate HR systems with payroll, credentialing, and operational workflows
5. Compensation, Policy & Compliance Execution
· Partner with Finance on compensation planning and workforce modeling
· Maintain and evolve employee handbook and policies
· Translate guidance from national HR vendor into actionable internal processes
· Ensure consistent execution of federal, state, and local employment requirements
· Oversee leave administration (FMLA, ADA coordination, etc.) in collaboration with vendor
6. Culture & Organizational Health
· Champion a clinician-first, high-performance culture
· Lead internal communication cadence related to people initiatives
· Support executive leadership in maintaining a high-trust, accountable environment
· Identify workforce risks before they escalate

Qualifications
· 10+ years progressive HR leadership experience
· Experience as the senior or sole HR leader in a growing organization
· Healthcare or multi-site professional services experience strongly preferred
· Proven experience in performance management, succession planning, and workforce strategy
· Strong HRIS implementation or optimization experience
· Demonstrated ability to operate independently and influence executive peers
· Experience managing at least one direct report
· SHRM-SCP, SPHR, or equivalent certification preferred
