Our client—an established, innovation‑driven organization undergoing a significant business transformation—is seeking a dynamic Vice President, Human Resources to join its Leadership Team. This individual will serve as a strategic advisor to the CEO and senior leaders, shaping the organization’s cultural evolution, talent strategy, and long‑term people vision.
The ideal candidate is equally comfortable operating at the strategic level required of a senior enterprise leader and rolling up their sleeves to ensure high‑quality, day‑to‑day HR execution. This leader will drive organizational effectiveness, leverage workforce analytics to inform decision‑making, elevate leadership capabilities, and steward all core HR functions with excellence.
This is a unique opportunity to help architect the next chapter of a transforming organization while building modern people systems, programs, and structures that enable scale, resilience, and a strong leadership identity.
Given the role’s close partnership with our Leadership Team and its on‑site operational responsibilities, this position is limited to individuals who are currently local to the area. Relocation assistance and remote arrangements are not available.
Scope of Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
- Partner with the CEO and Leadership Team to align human capital strategy with business priorities and long‑term organizational goals.
- Lead workforce analytics and predictive modeling to forecast talent needs and inform strategic planning.
- Design and implement succession planning frameworks and leadership pipeline development initiatives.
- Guide diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) strategies to strengthen culture and engagement.
- Act as a change agent, driving organizational transformation and supporting evolving operating models.
- Strengthen employer branding and candidate experience to position the organization competitively in the talent market.
- Lead organizational development initiatives that promote cultural cohesion, leadership alignment, and employee engagement.
Operational Leadership
- Oversee HR operations including compliance, payroll, benefits, HRIS, and employee relations.
- Drive full‑cycle talent acquisition strategies to secure best‑in‑market talent.
- Manage compensation programs and support evolution toward an integrated total rewards philosophy.
- Enhance and mature performance management systems with an emphasis on feedback, accountability, and development.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, federal, and international employment regulations.
- Continually optimize HR processes, systems, and policies to ensure efficiency, scalability, and operational rigor.
What You Will Be Doing
- Operate as both strategist and practitioner—balancing vision‑setting with hands‑on leadership of core HR functions.
- Leverage workforce analytics to shape strategy, improve organizational effectiveness, and guide executive decision‑making.
- Build and sustain leadership development programs that strengthen organizational capability and prepare future leaders.
- Facilitate strong communication channels between employees, leaders, and the broader organization.
- Lead HR teams in the execution of global people programs that advance business transformation and cultural goals.
Knowledge, Skills, and Attributes
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
- 15+ years of progressive HR experience, including 10+ years in senior leadership roles up to the VP level.
- Proven ability to balance strategic vision with operational execution in complex, evolving environments.
- Experience in manufacturing, technology, life sciences, or other innovation‑driven sectors strongly preferred.
- Private equity experience a plus.
- Demonstrated success in workforce analytics, succession planning, leadership development, and organizational design.
- Expertise in building and implementing HR processes, tools, and programs that support transformation and scale.
- Strong capability in employer branding and shaping high‑quality candidate and employee experiences.
- Exceptional communication, relationship‑building, and problem‑solving skills.
- High level of integrity, discretion, and commitment to confidentiality.
- Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment while fostering structure, clarity, and accountability.
