Required Skills & Experience
- 10+ years of progressive HR leadership experience, including executive-level responsibility.
- Experience in the insurance industry and/or previous experience in a consulting role
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- Expertise in HR strategy, compliance, organizational development, and people leadership.
- Experience scaling HR functions in high growth or multi state environments.
- Strong communication, relationship building, and decision making skills.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- SHRM SCP, SPHR, or similar certification.
- Experience with HR technology (HRIS, ATS, analytics platforms).

We are seeking a dynamic Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) to lead our people strategy and drive a high performance, inclusive, and scalable workforce. The CHRO will partner with executive leadership to shape culture, build strong talent pipelines, and implement programs that attract, develop, and retain top tier talent. This individual will oversee all HR functions with a strong focus on operational excellence, compliance, and organizational growth. This is a contract-to-potential hire position.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
- Develop and execute an HR strategy aligned with company goals and growth plans.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to executives and guide workforce planning and organizational design.
- Lead culture, engagement, DEI, and talent development initiatives.
Talent Acquisition & Development
- Oversee recruiting strategy, ensuring diverse and high quality candidate pipelines.
- Implement leadership development, coaching, and succession planning programs.
- Strengthen onboarding, training, and performance management processes.
HR Operations & Compliance
- Oversee HR policies, labor law compliance, and risk mitigation.
- Ensure effective and efficient HR operations, including HRIS, reporting, and data integrity.
- Maintain consistent and equitable employment practices.
Compensation & Total Rewards
- Lead compensation strategy, benefits administration, and incentive programs.
- Ensure market competitiveness and internal equity.
Culture & Employee Relations
- Drive initiatives that strengthen culture, employee satisfaction, and retention.
- Partner with leaders to resolve employee relations matters with fairness and objectivity.
Compensation:
$65.00/hr-$85.00/hr
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
Employees in this role will enjoy a comprehensive benefits package starting on day one of employment, including options for medical, dental, and vision insurance. Eligibility to enroll in the 401(k) retirement plan begins after 90 days of employment.
