Regional Human Resources Director

Vice President of Operations
Position Summary
The Regional Human Resources Director provides strategic and operational HR leadership for
seven facilities within the assigned region. This role ensures consistent execution of HR policies, talent strategies, compliance, and employee relations while supporting business objectives. The Director partners closely with senior leadership and facility management to drive workforce effectiveness, engagement, and organizational performance.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
- Develop and execute regional HR strategies aligned with organizational goals
- Serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership and facility leaders
- Lead organizational change initiatives, workforce planning, and succession planning
Talent Management
- Oversee recruitment, onboarding, retention, and workforce development across all facilities
- Implement performance management systems and leadership development programs
- Support succession planning and high-potential employee identification
Employee Relations & Engagement
- Provide guidance on employee relations issues, investigations, and conflict resolution
- Ensure consistent application of disciplinary actions and corrective measures
- Promote a positive workplace culture and employee engagement initiatives
Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations
- Oversee investigations related to complaints, grievances, and policy violations
- Partner with legal counsel on employment-related matters and risk mitigation
Compensation & Benefits
- Support compensation strategy, job evaluations, and pay equity initiatives
- Oversee benefits administration and ensure competitive offerings
- Monitor labor costs and workforce metrics across facilities
HR Operations
- Standardize HR policies, procedures, and practices across all locations
- Ensure accurate HR data, reporting, and analytics
- Oversee HRIS utilization and process improvements
Training & Development
- Implement training programs for leadership, compliance, and professional development
- Ensure mandatory training completion and compliance tracking
Leadership & Team Development
- Lead, coach, and develop facility-level HR Managers and HR staff
- Set performance expectations and conduct evaluations for HR team members
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s preferred)
- 8–12+ years of progressive HR experience, including multi-site or regional leadership
- Proven experience managing HR operations across multiple facilities
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practices
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to influence and partner with executive and operational leaders
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Experience with HRIS and data-driven decision-making
Certifications (Preferred)
- SHRM-SCP, SPHR, or equivalent professional certification
Work Environment & Travel
- Frequent travel between the seven facilities as required
