Position Overview
We are seeking a Director of Human Resources with extensive experience developing, implementing, and driving HR programs and initiatives within a global organization. The ideal candidate will be a strategic and innovative leader who thrives in a dynamic environment, values relationship-building, and demonstrates empathy, professionalism, and clear communication. This position reports directly to the Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) and will oversee the North America HR Business Partner team and Talent Acquisition functions.
Candidates must have 10–12+ years of hands-on HR experience and a BA/BS degree (preferably in Human Resources or a related field). Experience within consumer or technology companies is strongly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a strategic HR Business Partner, providing expert guidance across all areas of Human Resources during a period of transformation and growth.
- Advise leadership on organizational design, talent development, employee relations, and workforce planning to support business objectives.
- Partner with HR Centers of Excellence (e.g., Compensation, Benefits, HR Technology) to implement programs and processes aligned with business needs.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with business leaders to foster a positive, engaging, and high-performance culture.
- Mentor and coach leadership teams through organizational change and expansion.
- Oversee initiatives in recruitment, performance management, learning and development, succession planning, retention, and DEI.
- Support and drive leadership development programs, including internships, training, and professional development workshops.
- Maintain a visible HR presence to build trust, ensure open communication, and monitor employee engagement.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in Human Resources or a related discipline.
- 10–12+ years of progressive, hands-on HR experience, with a strong background as an HR Business Partner.
- Demonstrated success leading organizational design, workforce planning, and change management initiatives.
- Proven ability to make high-impact decisions using data, sound judgment, and experience.
- Strong executive presence and experience supporting senior leadership teams.
- Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Prior experience designing or improving HR processes within Workday or similar HRIS.
- Skilled in managing individuals and processes across multiple functions and business units.
Preferred Background
- Experience in consumer goods or technology industries.
- Track record of developing and executing innovative talent programs and HR strategies that drive business outcomes.
