Our company is a privately owned middle-market business services company with over 200 employees and headquarters located in the Detroit area.
Reporting directly to the CEO, we are searching for a Human Resources Director to lead all HR, organizational development, employee relations, performance management, and benefits in collaboration with the executive and senior leadership teams.
Our Director is a leader, thinks strategically, has business acumen, and is a trusted advisor to the business and CEO. You will have the opportunity to:
- Provide leadership, development, coordination, and execution of essential HR activities for an entrepreneurial, fast-paced company, with multiple locations.
- Evaluate, develop, and build an administrative, and HR team to support the continued growth of the company.
- Support both short and long-term objectives including enhancing processes and procedures, reducing employee turnover, supporting company growth, continuously improving company culture, and employee/organizational development.
- Participate as a key member of the leadership team to drive strategy, enhance margins, and support organic and inorganic growth.
- Provide critical business and organizational analysis to the Executive leadership team.

Ideal candidates will possess:
- Bachelor’s degree with concentrations in organizational behavior, HR management, psychology, or other related field required; advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of ten (10) years of progressive and related HR experience. Ideally, the candidate will have at least five (5) years of experience providing HR services at the Manager, Senior Manager or Director level.
- Experience with business and organization strategy, talent acquisition and development, HRM, compensation, benefits, and admin, preferably in a professional services organization.
- Guide the transformation of the HR function toward becoming a true strategic partner.
- Demonstrated capability to interface and collaborate with Executive Management and employees. Maintain effective relationships in a team-oriented environment.
