About the Role
To deliver and enhance People operations that elevate the employee experience, reinforce compliance, build leadership capability, and support consistent, high-performing operations across multiple states.
Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day HR support and guidance to HR Specialists and administrative staff.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws across multiple states.
- Lead and support employee relations matters, including investigations, corrective actions, and documentation.
- Assist with leave management, ADA/FEHA accommodations, and workers' compensation coordination.
- Maintain and update HR policies, procedures, and the Employee Handbook.
- Partner with leaders to reinforce a respectful, positive, and performance-driven culture.
- Work closely with Training teams to support onboarding, store training, and leadership development programs.
- Ensure alignment between HR and Training priorities.
- Support the rollout and adoption of training initiatives and LMS tools.
- Collaborate with Operations and Training to ensure programs reinforce service excellence and brand consistency.
- Assist with recruiting for corporate and leadership roles, ensuring a consistent and compliant hiring process.
- Support benefits administration and serve as a resource for employee questions.
- Partner with payroll and leadership to ensure accurate, compliant pay practices.
- Contribute to compensation benchmarking and salary structure updates.
- Coach managers on performance management, documentation, and employee development.
- Support progressive discipline processes and ensure alignment with policies.
- Gather insights from exit interviews and engagement feedback to inform retention strategies.
- Promote a culture of accountability, communication, and continuous improvement.
- Maintain accurate HR data and support reporting on turnover, retention, and compliance metrics.
- Utilize HRIS and LMS platforms to improve efficiency and employee experience.
- Partner with Operations, Training, and Finance on workforce planning and cross-functional initiatives.
- Provide recommendations to enhance People processes and team effectiveness.

Pay range and compensation package
Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual's skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs. With that said, as required by local law in geographies that require salary range disclosure, Vaco/Highspring notes the salary range for the role is noted in this job posting. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, and can participate in medical, dental, and vision benefits as well as the company's 401(k) retirement plan.
