You in This Role You are not just filling jobs you are helping build the future of Unusual Machines.As our first full-time recruiter focused on exempt and corporate hiring, you will play a critical role in shaping the teams that power our growth. You will recruit across Supply Chain, Product, Engineering, Operations, HR, Finance, and select Sales roles while building an exceptional candidate and hiring manager experience from start to finish.
This role is ideal for someone who loves both recruiting and storytelling. We are looking for a recruiter who understands how to find the right person, not just the available person. Someone who believes that every candidate interaction matters, every hiring manager partnership matters, and every hire has the potential to shape the future of the company.

This role reports to the Senior Director of Human Resources.
A Day in the Life
No two days will look exactly the same, but your days may include:
- Meeting with hiring managers to understand open positions, ideal candidate profiles, and business needs
- Sourcing and engaging passive candidates for hard-to-fill roles across engineering, supply chain, operations, finance, HR, and sales
- Managing the full recruitment lifecycle from intake meeting through offer stage
- Creating compelling job descriptions and job postings that reflect our culture and brand
- Coaching hiring managers on interviewing best practices and ensuring a consistent, positive interview experience
- Building interview processes, interview questions, and scorecards where needed
- Partnering with Marketing to elevate our employer brand through social media and our careers page
- Helping create content that showcases our people, culture, growth, and mission
- Building relationships with universities, networking groups, and Orlando-area organizations to create future talent pipelines
- Managing recruiting data, reporting, and metrics such as time to fill, quality of hire, candidate experience, and hiring manager satisfaction
- Assisting with offer recommendations, workforce planning discussions, and onboarding coordination
- Traveling between local facilities as needed to meet with leaders and candidates
What You'll Do
- Lead full-cycle recruiting for exempt and corporate roles across Supply Chain, Product, Engineering, Operations, HR, Finance, and Sales
- Partner closely with hiring managers to deeply understand their teams, hiring needs, and long-term goals
- Deliver a white-glove candidate experience with excellent communication, transparency, and follow-up
- Ensure hiring managers also have a strong experience by providing guidance, structure, and support throughout the recruiting process
- Build and maintain strong talent pipelines for current and future hiring needs
- Source passive candidates through LinkedIn, networking, referrals, and creative sourcing strategies
- Write compelling job descriptions and postings that attract the right talent
- Manage the ATS and ensure recruiting processes are organized, efficient, and candidate-friendly
- Coach hiring managers on interviewing techniques, candidate evaluation, and best practices
- Help create a consistent interview process across the organization
- Support the development of interview guides, scorecards, and structured hiring practices
- Partner with HR leadership on offer recommendations and hiring strategy
- Assist in creating recruiting dashboards and metrics reporting
- Help build and strengthen Unusual Machines' employment brand so that we become known as one of the best places to work in Orlando
- Partner with Marketing on employer branding initiatives across LinkedIn, Indeed, Glassdoor, social media, and the careers page
- Support the creation of employee stories, recruiting content, and culture-focused messaging
- Help build relationships with universities, technical schools, networking groups, and community organizations
- Attend networking events, career fairs, and industry events as needed
What You'll Bring
- 5+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience in corporate, exempt, or professional-level hiring
- Experience recruiting for functions such as Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, Finance, HR, Sales, Product, or other business-critical roles
- Experience working in a high-growth company, startup environment, manufacturing environment, aerospace company, or similarly fast-paced business
- Strong sourcing skills and the ability to identify and engage passive candidates
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build trust and credibility across all levels of the organization
- A strong sense of urgency balanced with a commitment to delivering a thoughtful, high-quality experience
- The ability to coach and influence hiring managers while maintaining strong partnerships
- Experience using recruiting tools
- Experience with employer branding, social recruiting, or recruiting marketing is strongly preferred
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities at once
- A data-driven mindset with the ability to track and report on recruiting metrics
- A passion for candidate experience, manager experience, and finding the right long-term fit
- A willingness to roll up your sleeves and build processes, programs, and recruiting strategies from the ground up
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $80,000 – $110,000
- Hybrid work schedule with an expectation of 4 days per week in the office
