Senior Director of Human Resources
Saber Power Services, a portfolio company of Greenbelt Capital Partners, is a fully integrated electrical power system services firm providing end-to-end solutions across utility, renewables and battery storage, industrial, petrochemical, and other markets. Based in Houston, Texas, Saber Power offers deep subject matter expertise and uses an engineering-led approach to designing, installing, testing, and maintaining medium and high-voltage electrical infrastructure. Position Summary
The Senior Director of Human Resources Director is a strategic leader responsible for developing and executing human resources strategies that support the organization’s mission, goals, and long-term growth. This role oversees all HR functions, including talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, training and development, compensation and benefits, compliance, and HR analytics. The Senior Director of Human Resources serves as a trusted advisor to senior leadership and plays a critical role in fostering a positive, high-performing workplace culture. This role requires a consistent onsite presence at our Space Center location and operates on a standard Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. schedule.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Strategic HR Management
- Develop and implement comprehensive HR strategies aligned with organizational objectives.
- Partner with executive leadership to support workforce planning, succession planning, and organizational development.
- Drive initiatives that enhance employee engagement, retention, and overall performance.
- Policy Development & Compliance
- Create, review, and oversee HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws.
- Ensure consistent application of policies while promoting fairness, transparency, and a positive workplace culture.
- Monitor regulatory changes and recommend policy updates as needed.
- Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning
- Lead end-to-end recruitment efforts, including sourcing, interviewing, selection, and onboarding of top talent.
- Develop recruitment strategies to meet current and future staffing needs.
- Ensure a seamless and effective onboarding experience for new employees.
- Performance Management & Employee Relations
- Oversee the organization’s performance evaluation process to ensure consistency and effectiveness.
- Provide guidance and leadership in resolving workplace issues, employee conflicts, and disciplinary actions.
- Promote a respectful, inclusive, and productive work environment.
- Training & Development
- Oversee employee training programs and professional development initiatives.
- Identify skill gaps and implement learning solutions to support career growth and organizational capability.
- Support leadership development and succession planning initiatives.
- Compensation & Benefits
- Manage the organization’s compensation structure to ensure competitive, equitable, and compliant pay practices.
- Oversee benefits administration, including health, retirement, and other employee benefit programs.
- Conduct market analyses and make recommendations on compensation adjustments and incentive programs.
- HR Metrics & Reporting
- Analyze HR metrics and workforce data to evaluate the effectiveness of HR initiatives.
- Prepare and present HR reports and insights to senior leadership to support data-driven decision-making.
- Utilize HRIS and analytics tools to improve operational efficiency and strategic outcomes.
Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; a master’s degree or HR certification is preferred.
- 15-20 years of experience in HR management, with a proven track record in leadership roles.
- Knowledge of HR Laws: In-depth understanding of labor laws and regulations to ensure compliance and mitigate legal risks.
- Knowledge of HR Systems: Experience with ADP Workforce Now or other similar HRIS system, solid knowledge of excel and/or HRIS system analytic tools
- Skills
- Strong communication, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills are essential for managing employee relations and fostering a positive workplace culture.
