We are working with a well-established, family-owned company in NW Houston that is looking to add a hands-on Human Resources Manager to their team. This company has been in business for over 40 years and offers a stable, team-oriented environment where this role will truly make an impact.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys wearing multiple hats and partnering closely with leadership to strengthen HR processes, support managers, and help guide the overall employee experience.
What They're Looking For:
- Experience in a mid-sized company environment (not highly siloed HR)
- Strong HR Manager background with exposure to all core functions
- Someone approachable, not overly rigid, and comfortable coaching managers
- Ability to identify gaps, improve processes, and protect the company
- Solid understanding of key employment laws such as Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA).
- SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP) is a plus
What You'll Be Doing:
- Oversee day-to-day HR operations for a ~170-employee organization
- Partner with leadership on employee relations, coaching, and performance management
- Guide managers through employee issues and corrective actions
- Ensure compliance with employment laws and reduce company risk
- Support recruiting, onboarding, and training initiatives
- Manage benefits, compensation, and HR programs
- Help develop and improve HR policies, procedures, and systems
