Job Summary
The HR Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of human resources practices and processes. This role ensures alignment with company goals by managing recruitment, employee relations, performance management, compliance, and organizational development. The HR Manager serves as a strategic partner to leadership while fostering a positive and productive workplace culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Talent Acquisition & Onboarding
- Lead full-cycle recruitment, including job postings, screening, interviewing, and hiring
- Develop and implement effective onboarding programs to ensure a smooth new hire experience
- Partner with department leaders to understand staffing needs and workforce planning
- Employee Relations
- Serve as a point of contact for employee concerns, conflict resolution, and workplace investigations
- Promote a culture of engagement, inclusion, and accountability
- Provide coaching and guidance to managers on employee-related matters
- Performance Management
- Oversee performance review processes, goal setting, and development plans
- Support managers with performance improvement plans (PIPs) and employee development strategies
- Drive initiatives that enhance employee performance and retention
- Compliance & Policy Management
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations
- Develop, update, and enforce HR policies and procedures
- Maintain accurate employee records and documentation
- Compensation & Benefits
- Manage employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and wellness initiatives
- Support compensation planning, benchmarking, and salary reviews
- Communicate benefits offerings and assist employees with enrollment and questions
- Training & Development
- Identify training needs and coordinate learning and development programs
- Support leadership development and succession planning initiatives
- Foster continuous learning and professional growth
- HR Operations & Reporting
- Oversee HR systems, data management, and reporting
- Track HR metrics such as turnover, engagement, and recruitment effectiveness
- Continuously improve HR processes and workflows
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- 5+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial role
- Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and conflict-resolution skills
- Proven ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
- Experience with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite
Preferred
- SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification
- Experience in a fast-paced or high-growth environment
