Overview:
Our client is seeking a hands-on HR Manager to lead people operations in a fast-paced, high-growth fresh food manufacturing environment. This role is critical to building strong teams and ensuring the organization attracts, hires, and retains top talent.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own full-cycle recruiting across all functions, with a strong focus on speed and quality of hire
- Partner with leadership to anticipate hiring needs and build a strong talent pipeline
- Manage and oversee payroll, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and proper reporting
- Lead onboarding, employee relations, and performance management
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws
- Support and lead social audits (customer, third-party, and regulatory), ensuring full compliance and audit readiness
- Drive HR policies, processes, and culture across the facility
- Support workforce planning across multiple shifts
Requirements:
- 5+ years of HR experience, with strong, proven recruiting capability
- SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification preferred
- Experience managing payroll and reporting
- Experience with social audits (SMETA, customer audits, or similar)
- Experience in manufacturing or high-volume operations preferred
- Strong business acumen with a hands-on, accountable approach
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Ability to operate with urgency in a dynamic environment
