Position Title: HR Coordinator
Position Description: Protingent is seeking a detail-oriented HR Coordinator for a contract-to-hire opportunity located in Kirkland, WA.
Job Description: This role is foundational to our client's HR Operations team, focusing on high-volume administrative support, record maintenance, and ensuring a seamless experience for our workforce. This is an on-site position requiring a presence in the office five days per week.
Job Responsibilities:
- Administrative Support: Maintain accurate employee files and perform data entry to update records within the HRIS.
- Onboarding Coordination: Prepare new hire paperwork, schedule background checks and drug screens, and coordinate orientation schedules.
- Recruiting Assistance: Post job openings, screen resumes, and schedule interviews between candidates and hiring managers.
- Employee Inquiries: Serve as the first point of contact for basic HR-related questions regarding policy interpretation and benefits information.
- New Hire Processing: Partner with IT and Payroll to ensure efficient processing of new hires into necessary systems.
- Compliance: Assist in maintaining labor law compliance by auditing employee files and ensuring labor law posters are up to date.
- Event Planning: Help organize department/company events, recognition programs, and employee initiatives.
Job Qualifications:
- Education: Typically possesses an Associate’s degree or equivalent professional experience; relevant certification (aPHR, PHR, or SHRM-CP) is a plus.
- Experience: Demonstrates familiarity with HR functions, typically requiring 2+ years of direct experience.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and familiar with HRIS/ATS platforms.
- Organization: Strong ability to manage administrative tasks and prioritize a varied workload effectively.
- Communication: Able to clearly articulate information verbally and in writing to employees and stakeholders.
- Integrity: Proven ability to maintain strict confidentiality when handling sensitive personnel matters.
Job Details:
- Job Type: Contract-to-Hire.
- Location: Kirkland, WA (On-site 5 days per week).
- Pay Rate Range: $28.00 – $30.00/hr (DOE)
- Schedule:
- Monday – Thursday: 7:00 am – 4:30 pm (4-9's).
- Friday: 7:00 am – 11:00 am (1-4).
- Employment Contingency: An offer of employment is contingent on successfully passing a drug test and background check.
