We are seeking a strategic and dynamic Director of Human Resources to lead and elevate our HR function in the Greater Tampa Bay area. This individual will play a critical role in aligning HR strategies with business goals, driving organizational effectiveness, and fostering a positive and inclusive workplace culture. This is a hands-on leadership position with responsibility for all aspects of HR including talent acquisition, employee relations, compliance, performance management, compensation, benefits, and organizational development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as a strategic HR partner to senior leadership across departments
- Oversee and lead all HR functions including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, training, and development
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
- Design and implement HR policies and procedures that support organizational goals and reflect best practices
- Lead diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives to build an inclusive culture
- Manage employee relations issues and conduct investigations as needed
- Develop strategies to improve employee engagement, retention, and workplace satisfaction
- Oversee benefits administration and compensation planning in partnership with Finance
- Monitor HR metrics and provide reports and insights to leadership
- Lead HRIS optimization and data-driven decision-making
- Support change management and organizational design initiatives
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s preferred)
- 8–10+ years of progressive HR experience, including at least 3 years in an HR leadership role
- Strong knowledge of employment law, HR best practices, and compliance
- Experience with HRIS systems such as Workday, ADP, Paylocity, or similar
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Proven ability to lead, influence, and drive change in a fast-paced environment
- PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP certification preferred
