Our client who is a leading manufacturing company in their space is looking for an HR Leader for 3 locations. This position provides leadership in establishing and implementing local and national policies and plans. This person will report to the Divisional HR Manager and will collaborate with the General Manager and department leaders by providing leadership and consulting support on matters of goal setting, policy development, and support in linking business and tactical strategies. This position also manages an HR Admin.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTION
· Collaborate with site leaders to understand business objectives and provide HR strategies that support operational and workforce goals.
· Partner with leadership to identify workforce needs, succession planning, and talent development strategies.
· Act as a trusted advisor on organizational design, culture, and change management.
· Manage the daily activities of the HR Administrator, located in Ohio.
· Provide guidance on employee relations matters, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and investigations.
· Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies across all sites.
· Partner with legal and HR leadership to mitigate risks and ensure fair, consistent practices.
· Manage recruitment efforts to ensure sites are staffed with qualified talent.
· Lead onboarding, training, and development initiatives to strengthen workforce capabilities.
· Coach managers on leadership effectiveness, performance management, and employee engagement.
· Ensure accurate and consistent administration of HR policies, processes, and systems across multiple locations.
· Utilize HR metrics to track trends in turnover, engagement, absenteeism, and other key indicators; recommend solutions based on data.
· Partner with payroll/benefits teams to ensure employees receive accurate and timely support.
· Drive employee engagement initiatives that align with company values and promote a positive work environment.
· Facilitate communication between employees, managers, and leadership to build trust and transparency.
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
· Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
· 5+ years of progressive HR experience, including business partner or generalist responsibilities in a manufacturing environment.
· Multi-site or multi-location HR management experience strongly preferred.
· Strong knowledge of Illinois employment laws and HR best practices.
· Excellent interpersonal, coaching, and influencing skills with ability to build strong relationships across levels.
· Ability to travel to additional sites.
· Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
· PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP certification preferred.
