What you'll do:
- Own the full employee lifecycle — from recruiting and onboarding to performance management and offboarding
- Partner with directors and managers to build a positive, compliant, and engaged workplace
- Administer benefits programs and ensure compliance with California labor laws, FMLA, OSHA, and other regulations
- Lead employee relations, conduct investigations, and resolve workplace conflicts with care and professionalism
- Develop and update HR policies, procedures, and systems that keep pace with changing labor laws
- Design and deliver training and development programs that help our team grow
- Track and report HR metrics and KPIs to demonstrate the impact and effectiveness of the HR department
- Support succession planning and organizational development alongside senior leadership
- Manage workers' compensation, unemployment claims, and employee certifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or Business Administration or related field
- 3+ years of HR experience, at minimal as a generalist,
- Solid knowledge of California labor laws, benefits administration and payroll systems.
- Proficient in Windows and Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Ability to effectively and successfully interact with individuals from diverse socio-economic and cultural backgrounds.
Preferred Qualifications:
- HR Certification (i.e. SHRM, PHR) is highly preferred. Candidate may be provided time to obtain upon hire
- Valid California Class "C" drivers license and proof of automobile insurance
- Must be able to work during weekends or evenings as needed
- Reliable Transportation/insurance
- Demonstrate coaching, training, and leadership skills.
