Job Description:
The Director of Human Resources serves as a strategic business partner and leader of the HR function. This role is responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive people strategy that aligns with the organization's mission, business objectives, and long-term growth goals. The Director will lead the HR team in delivering high-impact talent acquisition, talent development, total rewards, employee relations, and organizational culture initiatives while ensuring regulatory compliance and mitigating risk. By leveraging data, technology, and forward-thinking practices, this leader will drive employee engagement, retention, and organizational agility in a dynamic business environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, develop, and oversee the HR team and daily department operations.
- Partner with executive leadership to drive HR strategy, workforce planning, and organizational design.
- Design and implement a strategic internship and campus ambassador program.
- Oversee talent acquisition, onboarding, and retention strategies.
- Lead performance management, leadership development, and employee engagement initiatives.
- Manage compensation, benefits, and total rewards programs.
- Ensure compliance with employment laws and manage employee relations matters.
- Leverage HR data and analytics to inform business decisions and improve workforce outcomes.
- Support organizational change initiatives and implement HR technologies.
- Handle compliance reporting and maintain HR policies and procedures.
- 10% of travel to other Alpha Omega offices
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, organizational development, or a related field.
- At least 5-10 years of human resources experience.
- Strategic Thinking & Business Acumen: Proven ability to align HR initiatives with business strategy and drive measurable impact on organizational performance.
- Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to influence and build trust at the executive level.
- Strong leadership, coaching, and team development capabilities.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and data-driven decision-making skills.
- Superior organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Demonstrated negotiation, conflict resolution, and change management expertise.
- Thorough knowledge of employment laws and regulations, with the ability to apply them strategically.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS/talent management systems (experience implementing or optimizing HR technology a plus).
- Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a people-first approach.
