About The Role
We are seeking a strategic and experienced Head of HR – Americas to lead and oversee all human resources functions across North and South America. This role will drive regional HR strategy aligned with global objectives while ensuring strong understanding and execution within diverse local markets.
The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in regional labor markets, talent strategy, and organizational leadership, along with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and scale HR operations across multiple countries.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and execute the HR strategy across North and South America, aligning with global business goals
- Act as a strategic advisor to executive leadership on workforce planning, talent acquisition, and organizational design
- Develop and implement market-specific talent strategies, leveraging strong understanding of local labor dynamics
- Oversee employee relations, compliance, and labor law adherence across multiple jurisdictions
- Drive leadership development, succession planning, and performance management frameworks
- Partner with business leaders to support growth, restructuring, and change management initiatives
- Ensure consistent implementation of HR policies, processes, and systems across the region
- Lead and develop a high-performing regional HR team
- Manage compensation, benefits, and total rewards strategies in alignment with market competitiveness
- Foster a culture of inclusion, engagement, and high performance
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s preferred)
- 10+ years of progressive HR experience, including regional or multi-country leadership
- Proven experience managing HR operations across North and South America
- Strong understanding of regional labor markets and talent trends (critical requirement)
- Demonstrated success in leading and developing HR teams
- Deep knowledge of employment law and compliance across multiple countries
- Experience working in a global or matrixed organization
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to operate both strategically and hands-on
- Travel required across North and South America as needed
- Hybrid or remote flexibility depending on location
- Familiarity with HRIS systems (ex. Dayforce or similar)
Preferred Qualifications
- Bilingual or multilingual (Spanish and/or Portuguese preferred, but not required)
- Experience supporting rapid growth, transformation, or M&A environments
- Experience in the Renewable Energy industry
