We’re partnering with a well-established organization to hire a Director of Human Resources to lead and evolve the company’s HR function. This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for driving strategy across talent, compliance, employee relations, and organizational development.
The right candidate will bring both a strategic mindset and a hands-on approach, with the ability to influence leadership while building scalable HR programs.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and implement company-wide HR policies, programs, and initiatives
- Oversee full-cycle recruiting, onboarding, and retention strategies
- Partner with executive leadership on employee relations, performance management, and workforce planning
- Manage compensation structures, salary benchmarking, and internal equity
- Collaborate with finance leadership on payroll, budgeting, and benefits strategy
- Oversee employee benefits programs including health, retirement, and wellness initiatives
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
- Handle complex employee relations matters, investigations, and disciplinary actions
- Lead risk management efforts including workers’ compensation, safety programs, and claims
- Drive training, leadership development, and employee engagement initiatives
- Maintain HR systems, reporting, and data integrity across HRIS platforms
- Manage HR budget and provide recommendations on staffing and compensation
- Serve as a liaison with legal counsel, auditors, and external partners
Qualifications:
- 7–10+ years of progressive HR experience, including leadership responsibility
- Strong background in employee relations, compliance, and organizational development
- Experience managing HR teams within a complex or multi-department organization
- Deep knowledge of employment laws, benefits administration, and HR best practices
- Experience with HRIS systems and data-driven decision making
- Strong communication skills with the ability to influence senior leadership
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field
- HR certification required (SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or equivalent); senior-level certification preferred
