The ideal candidate will have experience with HR best practices and have direct responsibility for key HR functions while partnering with the senior leadership team to position UFA for continued success.
Role Description
The HR Manager is responsible for overseeing day-to-day human resources operations for North America Operations . This role ensures that HR processes are efficient, compliant, and supportive of employees, while partnering with leadership to execute people-related initiatives.
This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who enjoys building structure, improving processes, and supporting a growing, global workforce.
Key Responsibilities:
HR Operations & Compliance
- Manage and maintain HR policies, procedures, and employee handbook
- Ensure compliance with employment laws
- Oversee employee lifecycle processes (onboarding, offboarding, documentation)
- Maintain HR systems (HRIS, payroll, benefits platforms)
Compensation & Benefits Administration
- Administer compensation programs, including merit increases
- Manage benefits enrollments and vendor relationships for medical, dental, vision, 401k, HSA and FSA plans
- Manage 401k plan and administration
- Manage bi-monthly ADP payroll for approximately 65 staff
Recruitment & Onboarding
- Manage full-cycle recruiting for open roles
- Coordinate interview processes and candidate experience
- Lead onboarding and orientation for new hires
Performance Management Support
- Administer performance review cycles and tools
- Track completion and support managers in execution
Employee Relations
- Serve as a primary point of contact for employee questions and concerns
- Support managers with performance management and employee relations matters
- Assist in investigations and resolution of workplace issues
HR Systems & Process Improvement
- Maintain and optimize HR systems
- Identify opportunities to improve HR workflows and documentation
Compensation: $95,000-110,000 annually
Qualifications
- Proficiency in developing and executing recruitment, onboarding, and talent acquisition strategies
- Strong knowledge of employee relations, benefits administration, and compliance with labor laws
- Experience in creating and implementing HR policies, training programs, and employee engagement initiatives
- Experience supporting multi-state and/or international teams preferred
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Proficiency in HR software and tools (ADP Workforce Now, NetSuite, Monday.com or similar)
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- At least 5 years of experience in a human resources role, with managerial experience preferred
- Certification in HR (SHRM-CP, PHR) is a plus
