Director of Human Resources
Location: Cary, NC (Onsite)

Role Overview
Reporting to the CEO, the Director of Human Resources serves as a strategic business partner to corporate and facility leadership, driving strong employee relations, compliance, engagement, and talent outcomes. This self-starter will own all HR functions across the organization, ensuring legal compliance, workforce effectiveness, and a positive culture that supports high performance and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as Corporate HR Compliance Officer; ensure adherence to federal, state, and local employment laws (FMLA, ADA, EEOC, OSHA, Title VII, PDA, HIPAA)
- Lead employee relations, investigations, conflict resolution, and corrective action in partnership with leadership
- Oversee talent acquisition systems (ATS), HRIS (Paycom), onboarding, and workforce planning
- Drive employee engagement initiatives, surveys, and action planning; lead training and development programs
- Manage benefits communication, workers’ compensation coordination, and HR policy administration
- Develop, update, and maintain employee handbooks, policies, and corporate compliance training
- Analyze workforce and retention trends using HR analytics to inform strategy and decision-making
- Support executive leadership with succession planning, organizational design, and corporate initiatives
- Analyze/modernize/optimize employee benefits packages
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field
- 8–10 years of progressive HR experience
- Strong working knowledge of employment law, employee relations, and compliance
- Proven ability to partner with executives and manage sensitive issues with discretion
- Healthcare or multi-site operational experience including employment and health compliance laws
Preferred
- SPHR certification
- Experience leading HRIS/ATS implementations and audits
