JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Summary:
Hanwha Shipping is searching for a Manager who can work directly with our colleagues at all levels within the organization, build relationships, and establish credibility with employees from a wide range of teams/departments. The individual must be able to balance overall corporate needs, employee support, and the ongoing operational needs of the company while maintaining compliance with all HR regulations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Consults with, coaches, and supports management by providing human resources advice, counsel, and decisions.
- Manages HR department operations, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and regulations.
- Handles employee disputes, mediate solutions, and provide advice on labor relations.
- Works closely with leadership to identify hiring challenges, recruit top talent, and provide end-to-end service on the integration and assimilation of new hires.
- Builds out and manages key HR processes for the organization including but not limited to; performance management, year-end compensation, objective setting processes linked to ongoing performance feedback, etc.
- Devises strategies for identifying and improving employee engagement and a positive work environment to ensure maximum organizational, team and individual efficiency and effectiveness.
- Designs training and development plans in accordance with the needs of the business- to ensure the organization has the right capabilities in place to achieve business outcomes.
- Monitors and adjusts compensation and benefits packages to ensure market alignment
- Acts as a key liaison to Headquarters HR staff to ensure information exchange and alignment on all HR topics.
- Participates in relevant global and local HR topics.
QUALIFICATIONS
Basic Qualifications and Skills:
- Minimum 10-15 years of experience as an HR Generalist and HR Manager, with increasing levels of accountability
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field required; Master’s degree preferred
- Bilingual in Korean / English is a plus but not required
- SPHR/SHRM-SCP certification preferred Experience working with companies going through some sort of transformation, e.g., high growth, M&A, or restructuring
- Experience working in both small and large organization
Work Authorization:
The ideal candidate for this role will have authorization to work in the US before joining Hanwha. This role will not sponsor or help with the sponsorship for work authorization in the United States.
