Compensation Analyst
Are you a data-driven human resources professional who wants to make a real impact? Our company is seeking a talented Compensation and Benefits Analyst to join our HR team in the San Fernando Valley. In this highly analytical and strategic role, you’ll be responsible for advancing our compensation and benefits programs to attract, motivate, and retain top talent while ensuring cost efficiency and regulatory compliance.
What You’ll Do:
Compensation Analysis & Administration
- Analyze market salary data and conduct competitive benchmarking to ensure our total rewards stay ahead of the curve.
- Develop, maintain, and communicate job descriptions, job architecture, salary grades, and compensation budgets.
- Participate in compensation surveys and research internal and external pay equity.
- Support annual merit reviews, bonus calculations, and incentive plan administration.
- Advise managers on pay decisions to support fairness and competitiveness.
- Prepare reports and dashboards for leadership review.
Benefits Program Management
- Develop and administer benefits programs (health, retirement, ancillary), ensuring all communications and eligibility guidelines are clear for employees.
- Support benefits enrollment and act as a resource for escalated employee inquiries.
- Help manage vendor and broker relationships.
- Analyze benefits utilization to measure program effectiveness and recommend improvements.
- Research and recommend benefits best practices to optimize value.
Compliance & Reporting
- Ensure programs comply with FLSA, ACA, ERISA, and all other relevant legal standards.
- Prepare and submit government reports and filings (including 5500s).
- Assist with audits and monitor legislative changes affecting compensation and benefits.
Systems & Process Improvement
- Maintain data accuracy in HRIS systems and support system upgrades.
- Continuously improve process efficiency and recommend automation opportunities.
- Document policies and procedures for compensation and benefits programs.
What We’re Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance, or related field.
- 4+ years’ experience in compensation and benefits analysis or administration.
- Advanced Excel and strong ADP Workday skills preferred.
- Knowledge of compensation structures, job evaluation methods, and benefits administration.
- Understanding of key employment laws and regulations.
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
