HR Specialist / HR Manager

Reports to: VP of HR & Safety
Grizzly MEP is looking for a high-performing, detail-oriented, and people-focused HR Specialist / HR Manager to join our growing team in Atlanta. This hybrid role is a great opportunity for an HR professional who wants to be hands-on, make an impact, and support HR operations across all Grizzly MEP Operating Companies.
This role reports directly to the VP of HR & Safety and will support a broad range of HR functions, including onboarding, employee relations, HR administration, compliance, recruiting coordination, reporting, and special projects. We are looking for someone who is organized, responsive, professional, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support day-to-day HR operations across all Grizzly MEP Operating Companies
- Partner with the VP of HR & Safety on key HR initiatives, compliance efforts, reporting, and special projects
- Coordinate onboarding and offboarding, including new hire paperwork, orientation, and employee file maintenance
- Assist with employee relations matters, documentation, and follow-up
- Maintain accurate, organized, and confidential HR records
- Prepare, track, and analyze reports and spreadsheets using Microsoft Excel
- Assist with recruiting coordination, interview scheduling, candidate communication, and hiring logistics
- Support benefits administration, leave tracking, policy communication, and employee questions
- Assist in updating HR forms, job descriptions, handbooks, and other documentation
- Partner with leaders across the business to support workforce needs and HR initiatives
- Provide support on training, compliance, and other projects assigned by leadership
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred
- 3+ years of HR experience for Specialist level candidates
- 5+ years of HR experience for Manager level candidates
- Strong knowledge of HR practices including onboarding, employee relations, compliance, and HR administration
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel required
- Excellent organizational, communication, and follow-up skills
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across the organization
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus
- Safety experience is a plus, but not required
- HRIS experience preferred
