Position Summary
The Manager, Human Resources serves as a key HR partner to leaders, managers, and employees across the organization. This role is responsible for implementing and managing HR programs that strengthen compliance, engagement, and consistency across all employee groups. The HR Manager provides guidance on employee relations, performance management, workforce planning, and HR policy execution while ensuring HR practices align with company culture, legal requirements, and organizational goals.
Essential Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary HR point of contact for managers and employees, providing coaching, support, and guidance on HR policies and best practices.
- Manage employee relations matters including investigations, corrective actions, conflict resolution, and formal documentation.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
- Provide consistent interpretation and application of company policies and HR standards.
- Guide managers through performance management processes including goal setting, feedback, documentation, and performance improvement plans.
- Support succession planning, workforce planning, and organizational development initiatives.
- Collaborate with Operations, Safety, Training, and other departments on HR-related initiatives.
- Develop and deliver training programs for supervisors on employee relations, documentation, and performance management.
- Analyze and report HR metrics such as turnover, employee relations trends, and workforce indicators.
- Serve as a visible HR resource and champion of company culture and professionalism.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; master’s degree preferred.
- SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification required.
- 5+ years of progressive HR experience, including at least 2 years in a management capacity.
- Strong knowledge of employment law, employee relations, and HR best practices.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills.
- Demonstrated ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
- Proficiency in HRIS systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and HR reporting tools.
- Ability to travel up to 20% as needed.
