Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Sr. HR Manager to lead and manage all human resource functions for our growing company of over 100 employees. The HR Manager will oversee recruitment, employee relations, performance management, compliance, benefits administration, and organizational development to foster a high-performance, employee-centered culture.
This role is fully on-site at our Norcross, GA offices. The schedule is Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm.
Key Responsibilities
Talent Acquisition & Onboarding
- Lead full-cycle recruitment, from job posting to onboarding.
- Partner with department heads to define staffing needs and hiring strategies.
- Implement recruitment screening/testing programs; work with placement agencies as needed.
- Coordinate competitive compensation analysis with leadership to attract and retain talent.
- Oversee onboarding, including IT and equipment setup, to ensure smooth transitions and high engagement.
- Candidate pipeline development
Employee Relations & Culture
- Promote a positive, inclusive work environment aligned with the company’s vision, mission, and values.
- Serve as the main point of contact for employee concerns, complaints, and conflict resolution; establish and maintain procedural documentation.
- Conduct investigations and recommend appropriate corrective actions when needed.
Performance Management & Development
- Create and maintain job descriptions for all roles; ensure alignment with required skills and competencies.
- Oversee performance appraisals and train managers on effective evaluation and feedback.
- Implement career development, succession planning, and leadership programs for current and emerging leaders.
- Manage internal training (e.g., workplace harassment, performance management, emotional intelligence, new manager assimilation) and coordinate external leadership training as needed.
- Conduct stay and exit interviews to inform retention strategies.
Compliance & Policy Management
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local labor laws, including ACA requirements.
- Develop, implement, and update HR policies and procedures; maintain the employee handbook.
- Maintain employee records and I-9 documentation in accordance with legal requirements and best practices.
Benefits & Compensation
- Administer employee benefits programs, including healthcare, retirement (401K/Roth), and wellness initiatives.
- Manage 401K/Roth enrollments, terminations, compliance testing, and reporting.
- Oversee annual salary adjustments, bonus plans, deferred compensation, and other financial benefits.
- Collaborate with leadership to evaluate and adjust compensation structures regularly.
- Experience with healthcare brokers required; experience with a Captive is beneficial.
- Administer leave of absence programs (FMLA and others).
HR Strategy & Reporting
- Provide strategic HR guidance to leadership.
- Analyze HR metrics (turnover, retention, engagement) to support data-driven decision-making.
- Stay current on HR trends, compensation practices, and evolving legislation.
Job Requirements
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s or HR certification preferred).
- Minimum of 8 years of progressive HR experience, including at least 3 years in a managerial role.
- Experience in mid-sized companies (100+ employees); scaling HR operations experience is a plus.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong understanding of labor laws and HR best practices.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Ability to build and foster strong relationships across all levels of the organization.
- Proven record of implementing HR programs that enhance culture and performance.
- Experience with ADP and PTO management software is a plus.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
Preferred Qualifications
- SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or PHR/SPHR certification.
Compensation: Competitive salary, performance bonuses, comprehensive benefits package, PTO, and growth opportunities. $125,000 - $140,000 starting salary.
