We are looking for a detail-oriented and tech-savvy HR Assistant to join our team in Torrance, California. This position is focused on supporting employee onboarding and offboarding processes in a fast-paced, computer-based environment. Ideal candidates should be comfortable handling digital tools and communication platforms while maintaining exceptional organizational skills. This is a Contract opportunity with potential for long-term growth within a dynamic and supportive team.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee the onboarding and offboarding of employees, ensuring all processes are completed accurately and efficiently.
• Conduct virtual meetings with new hires via Zoom to facilitate orientation and address questions.
• Respond promptly to text messages and other incoming communications related to HR matters.
• Prepare, edit, and manage documents using Microsoft Word and other digital tools.
• Capture screenshots, save and edit images, and organize PDFs and other digital files.
• Print, scan, and electronically save documents while maintaining accurate records.
• Take detailed notes and organize files for reference and documentation purposes.
• Coordinate Livescan background checks and ensure compliance with required protocols.
• Maintain clear and organized digital records to support HR operations.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless virtual operations and effective communication.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and the ability to create and edit documents efficiently.
• Familiarity with Zoom and other virtual communication platforms for conducting meetings.
• Strong technical skills, including file management, screenshot capturing, and PDF editing.
• Experience in Human Resources administration, including onboarding and employee relations.
• Knowledge of HRIS systems and the ability to navigate HR-related software.
• Previous experience coordinating background checks and ensuring compliance.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective communication skills to interact professionally with team members and new hires.
