Human Resources Director (M/W/X)
Position Summary
The Human Resources Director (HRD), reporting directly to the Brand President, will be responsible for leading and shaping the HR strategy across the in the U.S., the Caribbean and the Travel Retail network, ensuring alignment with Hublot’s global mission while adapting to the local market. This senior role requires a strong balance of strategic vision and hands-on execution, covering all aspects of HR: talent management, organizational design, compensation and benefits, compliance, learning & development, and employee relations.
The HRD will serve as a trusted partner to the leadership team and will play a key role in supporting the brand’s growth, including boutique openings, workforce planning, and leadership development initiatives. The HRD will also drive initiatives to foster and strengthen company culture, engagement and collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Talent Management
- Partner with executive leadership to define the organization’s long-term mission and HR strategy across the U.S., Caribbean, and Travel Retail.
- Identify KPIs for HR and talent management functions, track performance, and ensure market competitiveness.
- Oversee succession planning, leadership development, and career path strategies.
- Lead organizational design initiatives to adapt structures to evolving business needs.
Talent Development & Learning
- Design and manage talent development programs, including performance appraisal systems, coaching, mentoring, and training.
- Create and lead learning & development efforts across the U.S. workforce.
- Address skills gaps and support career progression initiatives.
Compensation & Benefits
- Implement competitive compensation, incentive, and benefits programs in collaboration with LVMH Group HR.
- Oversee payroll and commission processes for the North America workforce.
- Draft and manage the HR department budget and staffing budgets.
Employee Relations & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, as well as benefits, insurance, safety, and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee employee relations, including investigations, grievance management, and disciplinary processes.
- Manage workers’ compensation, FMLA, and short-term disability cases.
- Lead all HR efforts in South Florida and serve as the primary HR point of contact within the LVMH Miami ecosystem.
Workforce Expansion & Boutique Openings
- Support boutique openings across North America, from workforce planning and recruitment through onboarding.
- Partner with retail leadership to ensure smooth execution of hiring strategies.
Stakeholder Engagement & Representation
- Build strong cross-functional partnerships with leadership, retail, and commercial teams.
- Represent Hublot at HR, industry, and LVMH events and conferences.
- Act as a key HR liaison between the U.S. organization and HQ HR in Switzerland.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field required; Master’s degree or MBA preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive HR experience, including at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
- Strong expertise in U.S. employment law, compliance, and HR best practices.
- Proven ability to operate at both the strategic and operational levels, with experience leading HR functions in retail, luxury, or consumer-facing industries.
- Track record of driving HR strategy, talent development, and organizational design.
- Experience managing payroll, compensation, and benefits programs.
- Fluency in English is required; proficiency in additional languages is a strong asset.
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills
- Experience on change management is a strong plus.
