Key Accountabilities
- Responsible for serving as the strategic HR partner to business leaders, with a dedicated focus on the Ports & Terminals (P&T) business
- drive the people’s agenda across multiple countries, ensuring alignment with global HR strategies while addressing the unique challenges of P&T operations; act as the office’s point of contact for sustainability initiatives and lead key projects related to diversity & inclusion and women’s development within the organization
- serve as the primary HR leader for the Americas region, with a strong emphasis on the Ports & Terminals operations business
- partner with senior business leaders to develop and implement HR strategies that support operational performance, organizational effectiveness, and long-term growth in Ports & Terminals
- lead workforce planning initiatives, ensuring the right capabilities, structures, and talent pipelines are in place for current and future business needs
- oversee execution of core HR programs, including performance management, compensation & rewards, and employee relations; utilize social programming initiatives, sustainability management projects, gender equality strategies and projects, well-being campaigns, talent management and acquisition strategies, performance management systems, employee engagement strategies and campaigns, port market data analysis, and Korn Ferry job evaluation methodology to perform duties
- provide expert guidance on HR matters specific to Ports & Terminals, including safety culture, unionized workforce dynamics, and operational skill development; act as the regional Sustainability point of contact for the US Office, supporting integration of sustainable practices within HR processes and organizational culture
- support strategic Diversity & Inclusion and Women-focused projects, ensuring alignment with global initiatives and local relevance across the Americas; drive organizational effectiveness through change management, leadership development, and fostering a high-performance culture
- ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations across multiple jurisdictions; partner with global HR Centers of Excellence to implement leadership, culture, and engagement initiatives
- model DP World’s values and promote a “Great Place to Work” environment across Ports & Terminals operations
Qualifications, Experience & Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Human Resources Management, or in a related field of study (will accept equivalent foreign degree)
- Two (2) years in the position above, as a Human Resources Director, as a Sustainability Director, or in a related occupation
- Experience must include two (2) years’ use of all the following:
- social programming initiatives
- sustainability management projects
- gender equality strategies and projects
- well-being campaigns
- talent management and acquisition strategies
- performance management systems
- employee engagement strategies and campaigns
- port market data analysis
- Korn Ferry job evaluation methodology
- Location: Charlotte, NC and various unanticipated locations throughout the US;
- Will also accept any suitable combination of education, training, and/or experience
