Vaco Phoenix is hiring an HR Manager for a top client based in Tempe, AZ. This role is 100% onsite and offers a salary up to $100,000 annually. This HR Manager will own day-to-day HR operations and be the go-to person for payroll, benefits, onboarding, and employee relations. You'll partner closely with leadership while supporting roughly 100 employees across the full employee lifecycle.
Responsibilities:
Own full-cycle payroll for hourly and salaried employees, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and on-time processing
Review and validate timecards, overtime, PTO, and pay adjustments in line with wage and hour laws
Serve as the main contact for payroll questions and troubleshooting
Manage end-to-end onboarding, including offer letters, background checks, I-9/E-Verify, and system access
Lead new hire orientation covering policies, benefits, safety, and role expectations
Ensure all required training and employment documentation is completed on time
Oversee offboarding, including final pay, benefits termination, exit paperwork, and equipment return
Administer employee benefits programs (medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and retirement plans)
Partner with brokers and carriers on enrollments, renewals, audits, and claims support
Lead annual open enrollment and clearly communicate benefit options and changes
Ensure accurate benefits deductions and smooth payroll coordination
Act as a trusted HR partner to employees and managers, providing guidance on employee relations and performance matters
Required:
3+ years of leadership experience
Experience supporting an organization of 100 employees
Strong knowledge of payroll, benefits, insurance, and employment law
