We are looking for a detail-oriented HR Coordinator to join our team in Phoenix, Arizona, on a contract basis. In this role, you will be responsible for efficiently managing HR-related inquiries, maintaining corporate records, and supporting various HR processes. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to projects and initiatives that enhance organizational effectiveness.
Responsibilities:
• Maintain accurate employee records through scanning, uploading, and auditing documentation, ensuring compliance with company policies.
• Respond promptly and professionally to employee requests and inquiries regarding HR matters.
• Process a high volume of transactions related to payroll, benefits enrollment, and unemployment claims.
• Resolve HR-related concerns using critical thinking and independent judgment to interpret policies and procedures.
• Assist in onboarding processes, including background checks and ensuring compliance with HR standards.
• Collaborate with external vendors to manage off-site storage needs for employee records.
• Support various HR projects and initiatives as directed by leadership.
• Utilize multiple systems to retrieve and analyze data for payroll and benefits calculations.
• Communicate clearly and effectively with internal and external stakeholders to address HR-related questions.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required; additional education or certifications in HR are a plus.
• Minimum of two years of customer service experience, with prior exposure to HR or related fields preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Strong verbal communication and active listening skills, with the ability to convey information clearly and professionally.
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential inquiries with discretion and patience.
• Demonstrated critical thinking skills and the ability to independently solve HR-related issues.
• Familiarity with HRIS systems and HR compliance standards.
• Competence in performing basic mathematical operations for payroll and benefits analysis.
