We are looking for an experienced Human Resources (HR) Manager to join our team in Los Angeles. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can effectively navigate union-related matters while fostering a collaborative work environment. As a contract-to-permanent position, it offers the opportunity to contribute to leadership strategies and drive impactful HR initiatives within the retail industry.
Responsibilities:
• Serve as a strategic partner to leadership, providing expert HR guidance and solutions.
• Lead union negotiations and manage complex union-related dynamics.
• Advise managers on employee relations issues, particularly in resolving workplace disputes.
• Equip managers with tools and strategies to independently address minor employee concerns.
• Ensure compliance with California labor laws, collaborating with internal legal counsel as needed.
• Oversee attendance tracking, workforce management, and the application of data-driven HR insights.
• Present actionable HR solutions and actively participate in leadership discussions to align HR practices with business goals.
• Support airport-related logistics, including parking, badging, and security clearance processes.
• Coordinate with management to optimize HR systems and processes, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness.
• Proven experience in managing union contracts and negotiations.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to leverage data for decision-making and strategy.
• Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with employees and leadership.
• Background in retail, hospitality, or related service-oriented industries.
• Familiarity with HR systems such as ADP Workforce Now, SuccessFactors, or Ceridian is preferred.
• Knowledge of California labor laws and compliance standards.
• Ability to handle sensitive employee relations matters with professionalism and discretion.
• Comfortable managing logistics related to airport operations, including security clearance processes.
