The Role:
We are seeking a proactive and organized HR Business Partner to join our Human Resources team. This role is responsible for supporting the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, training, performance management, and offboarding. The ideal candidate will be a people-oriented professional with a strong understanding of HR practices, employment laws, and company policies.
Key Responsibilities:
Hiring
- Collaborate with department managers to define hiring needs and develop job descriptions.
- Partner with the corporate recruiting team to support talent acquisition efforts.
- Support hiring managers in the selection process.
- Prepare and extend job offers, conduct background checks, and initiate pre-employment documentation.
Onboarding
- Coordinate and conduct new hire orientation sessions.
- Ensure all onboarding paperwork is completed, and employee records are accurate and up to date.
- Facilitate a smooth integration process for new hires, including introductions to team members, system set up, and policy overview.
Training & Development
- Identify training needs and assist in the creation and delivery of training programs.
- Coordinate internal and external training sessions.
- Monitor and evaluate training effectiveness and maintain training records.
Employee Relations & Performance Management
- Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries regarding HR policies, procedures, and programs.
- Support managers in addressing performance issues, conducting performance reviews, and documenting disciplinary actions.
- Promote a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
Offboarding & Termination
- Manage the employee offboarding process, including exit interviews and final paperwork.
- Ensure compliance with legal and internal termination procedures.
- Provide support for reduction in workforce or disciplinary terminations as needed.
Compliance & Record Keeping
- Maintain up-to-date employee files and HRIS data.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies.
- Assist with audits and reporting requirements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in an HR Business Partner or similar role.
- Knowledge of HR laws, practices, and procedures.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity.
