The Regional HR Director Central leads, coordinates and directs HR initiatives; organizes the region-wide HR support to all leaders and employees; standardizes policies and procedures; directs all talent acquisition and retention activities; and ensures alignment with corporate policies and procedures.
This role will be a change agent driving process and continuous improvement across the regional HR operations to ensure process efficiencies and a high standard of service is delivered while furthering employee retention/satisfaction and improvement in talent acquisition and development.

- Leads a regional team to deliver exceptional human resources support to leaders and employees; support human resources initiatives with union and non-union workforce; , establish and cultivate a positive and collaborate partnerships in support of organizational objectives.
- Reviews existing policies and procedures, identifies, investigates root causes related to recurring organizational bottlenecks and develops, implements and drives corrective action plans to address areas of concerns.
- Develops staffing strategies to identify talent within and outside the organization and identifies appropriate and effective external resources to acquire talent at all levels.
- Serves as a change agent to drive cultural changes across the regional operations by developing policies and procedure improvement and ensuring a positive and collaborate culture.
- Designs and implements human resources audit processes to ensure compliance with federal, state, local regulations and proper alignment with corporate policies and procedures.
- Manages and improves regional employee relations, training, retention, employee development.
- Partners with local leadership and labor counsel relative to grievances and/or arbitrations as necessary.
- Collaborates and supports enterprise-wide HR team on company-wide initiatives. Provides timely engagement with CHRO and executive teams on discussion and alignment of business strategies, initiatives, policies and procedure updates.
- Develops training and retention programs to support the improvement of productivity and talent retention.
- Works closely with all areas of management to support training initiatives and ensure consistency in strategic alignment.
- Supports various reporting activities including headcount reports and KPI's, as well as developing ad hoc reporting and management information requests escalating issues/ concerns and recommendations to managers and HR Director.
- Promotes a harassment-free environment and workforce diversity and inclusion.
- Supports Environment, Health and Safety initiatives and serves as a safety ambassador for region.
- Monitors and controls department’s expense and costs, contributing to cost-effective operations for the organization.

- Extensive knowledge of the principles and practices of Human Resources, and governmental rules, regulations and procedures.
- Extensive experience managing union workforce.
- Ability to effectively evaluate the Human Resource and talent needs of the region and develop short and long-term strategic plans to address those needs.
- Requires effective oral and written communication skills including the ability to present ideas, and/or facts and recommendations effectively. Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills with a collaborative ability to work with diverse colleagues.
- Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints and facilitate conflict resolution.
- Must have strong computer skills including proficiency in Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Knowledge of HCM, payroll, and time management systems required.

- Strong analytical skills with a methodological approach to problem solving and implementation.
- Excellent follow-up and organizational skills with the ability to multi-task. Ability to work independently with little direction.
- Must have strong business knowledge and experience with the ability to translate business needs to a strategic plan.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret human resource related documents.
EDUCATION/TRAINING/EXPERIENCE
- Possesses 5-7 years relevant Human Resource experience in manufacturing and/or supply chain environments. Must have minimum 3 years of direct supervisory experience.
- Experience building talent management & organizational development function and managing support through organizational transformation.
- Bachelor’s degree in psychology, human resource, organizational management, or organizational development or relevant discipline required.
CERTIFICATES/LICENSES/REGISTRATIONS/TRAVEL
- Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification a plus.
- Valid State Driver’s License required.
We offer a competitive salary of $125k-145k. Excellent benefits which include medical, dental and vision. Eligibility in benefit plans begin the first of the month following 60 days of employment. Six (6) days of sick leave; two (2) weeks of vacation accrued throughout the year; nine (9) Company Paid Holidays and a 401K Plan with employer match.
