Job Title: Director of Human Resources
Location: Portland, Oregon
Pay: $120-130k

Qualifications
- 8–12+ years of progressive HR experience, including 3–5 years in a leadership or director-level role.
- Proven experience in a creative, production, agency, or media environment.
- Strong working knowledge of employment law, compensation strategy, and organizational design.
- Experience building HR infrastructure in a scaling or multi-location business.
- Exceptional interpersonal and leadership skills with a collaborative, approachable style.
- Demonstrated commitment to DEI principles and inclusive practices.
- Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, Organizational Psychology, or related field.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a trusted advisor to the executive team on people-related matters.
- Build and manage an HR team that supports scalable, responsive people operations.
- Lead full-cycle talent acquisition to attract, hire, and retain top creative and operational talent.
- Oversee onboarding, training, and professional development programs.
- Implement performance management frameworks that promote growth, clarity, and accountability.
- Develop and support career pathways and succession planning.
- Champion a diverse, equitable, and inclusive workplace.
- Cultivate a culture of feedback, collaboration, and transparency.
- Design and lead employee engagement initiatives, feedback cycles, and recognition programs.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws and employment regulations.
- Manage HR systems (HRIS, payroll, benefits administration).
- Oversee compensation strategy and administer benefit programs in partnership with Finance.
- Maintain and evolve employee handbook, policies, and procedures.
- Lead change management initiatives that foster agility and communication.
