Job Summary
Responsible for managing day-to-day operational HR duties within a healthcare facility or business line. Performs as a trusted collaborator and advisor to senior level leadership and management in areas of change management, organization effectiveness, work environment, culture and leadership development. Possesses solid understanding of all HR functions and works with business clients and/or HR partners in areas such as employee relations, compensation, engagement and performance management. Typically reports to a HR Director.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Management or related field required; Master’s Degree preferred
Licenses/Certifications: Certified HR Professional (e.g. PHR, SPHR, or related) preferred
Experience / Knowledge / Skills:
- Seven (7) years of progressive experience in human resources or healthcare management required.
- A minimum of five (5) years’ experience in HR business partnership or HR client management required.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Solid project management experience.
Principal Accountabilities
- Responsible for hiring, coaching, disciplinary actions and performance appraisals of direct report HR staff members.
- Proactively leads the delivery of HR Processes to facility or business line leadership, developing strategies and plans that enable the facility or business line to meet human capital needs and business targets.
- May lead complex HR Projects cross-functionally.
- Leads advising on first-level issues related to: retention, compensation, organizational development, employee relations. Manages the linkage between the facility/service to second-level (+) communication with HR Centers of Excellence.
- Provides assistance in policy interpretation and ensures organizational compliance to applicable policies, laws, and accreditation standards.
- Demonstrates ability to track/analyze/communicate and intervene on strategic workforce metrics to include: retention, turnover, time to fill, headcount, labor costs; Ensures facility/business leadership receives timely access to human capital metrics via HRIS systems.
- Leads and/or serves on facility/business interdisciplinary committees that drive strategies related to strategic workforce planning and/or employee engagement.
- Serves as member of client group management structure and shares HRMT updates as necessary. Shares responsibility for goals and target delivery.
- Develops interventions that stabilize business performance and employee engagement.
- Provides input/preparation for HR facility/entity budgets.
- Refines/Creates action plans to support HR strategies and drive results at the facility level.
- Participate in key leadership teams such as HR Management Team and facility Executive Leadership to ensure alignment with HR and organizational initiatives.
- Responsible for hiring, coaching, disciplinary actions and performance appraisals of direct report HR staff members
- Ensures safe care to patients, staff and visitors; adheres to all Memorial Hermann policies, procedures, and standards within budgetary specifications including time management, supply management, productivity and quality of service.
- Promotes individual professional growth and development by meeting requirements for mandatory/continuing education and skills competency; supports department-based goals which contribute to the success of the organization; serves as preceptor, mentor and resource to less experienced staff.
