Accela Healthcare is seeking an experienced and dynamic
Human Resources Director to lead the HR function at our Springfield Post-Acute and Long-Term Care facility. This role is a critical member of our leadership team, driving a positive workplace culture, supporting employee engagement, and ensuring compliance with all HR policies and healthcare regulations.
What You’ll Do:
- Serve as a strategic partner to facility leadership, providing HR guidance that aligns with organizational goals.
- Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and retention efforts to maintain a strong, stable workforce.
- Manage employee relations, offering support and resolution for workplace concerns with fairness and professionalism.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and healthcare regulations.
- Develop and implement HR policies, procedures, and best practices tailored to the long-term care setting.
- Drive staff development initiatives, including training, performance management, and recognition programs.
- Oversee payroll, benefits administration, and leave management in partnership with corporate HR.
What We’re Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- 5+ years of HR leadership experience, ideally in long-term care, healthcare, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws, compliance, and healthcare HR practices.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a collaborative leadership style.
- Proven ability to build trust, manage sensitive situations with discretion, and foster a positive work environment.
- SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP or PHR/SPHR certification preferred.
