Our client is seeking an entry-level HR Manager to oversee day-to-day HR operations and support the full employee lifecycle. This role is an excellent opportunity for a Senior HR Generalist or HR Business Partner ready to take the next step into management. The HR Manager will play a key role in creating an engaging employee experience, supporting corporate staff, and serving as a trusted partner to both employees and executive leadership. The ideal candidate will bring strong project management skills, a polished management presence, and the ability to step in for HR leadership when needed. Relative industry experience is required (i.e., oil & gas, manufacturing, renewables, etc.).
Key Responsibilities:
Employee Lifecycle Management:
- Oversee onboarding, orientation, and offboarding processes to ensure a seamless employee experience.
- Partner with leaders to drive performance management processes, employee development, and retention strategies.
Employee Relations & Engagement:
- Serve as the first point of contact for employee relations matters, ensuring fair resolution and compliance with company policies.
- Support employee engagement initiatives, driving programs that foster a positive culture and strong employee connections.
HR Operations & Compliance:
- Manage day-to-day HR operations, including compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
- Develop, update, and implement HR policies, procedures, and employee handbooks.
- Partner with leadership on HR projects and initiatives, ensuring timely and accurate execution.
Talent Acquisition & Management:
- Support recruitment efforts across corporate roles, including job postings, candidate screening, and onboarding.
- Collaborate with managers on workforce planning and talent development initiatives.
Leadership Support:
- Provide HR guidance to executives and department leaders, ensuring alignment between HR strategy and business goals.
- Step in for HR leadership as needed, representing HR at the executive level.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Relative industry experience and demonstrated experience supporting field and corporate workforce environments.
- 5+ years of HR experience, with demonstrated success in a Senior HR Generalist or HRBP role.
- Broad HR knowledge across employee relations, talent management, performance management, and compliance.
- Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Proven ability to interact with executive leadership as well as frontline employees.
- Supervisory experience and Workday system experience strongly preferred, but not required.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Work Environment:
- This role is onsite in North Houston with the flexibility of 1 remote day per week.
