Position Overview
We are seeking a bilingual (Korean/English) HR Manager to manage the full employee lifecycle and HR operations in our Los Angeles office. In addition to HR administration, onboarding/offboarding, attendance management, and compliance, this role will also provide recruitment support to ensure smooth and timely hiring processes in collaboration with the Global HR team
This position will work closely with the CEO for day-to-day matters and with the Global HR Director for strategic alignment and compliance
Key Responsibilities -
1. Employee Lifecycle Management
- Onboarding: Coordinate offer documentation, new hire paperwork, orientation, and initial training schedules.
- Offboarding: Manage exit interviews, final pay processing coordination, and asset return procedures.
2. Attendance & Leave Administration
- Track and manage PTO, sick leave, and other leave requests in accordance with US labor laws.
- Maintain accurate time-off records and approvals in HRIS systems.
3. HR Data & Documentation
- Maintain employee personnel files and ensure accuracy of employee records.
- Support payroll-related data preparation and communication with finance as needed.
4. Recruitment Support
- Coordinate interview schedules between candidates and hiring managers.
- Assist with posting job openings to appropriate platforms (including Korean-American community boards).
- Track candidate status, maintain recruitment records, and ensure timely follow-up communication.
- Support onboarding preparation for new hires (workspace setup, welcome kits, documentation).
5. Office HR Support
- Serve as the primary HR contact for LA employees regarding policy, benefits, and administrative inquiries.
- Facilitate communication between the CEO, employees, and Global HR to address HR issues promptly.
6. Compliance & Policy
- Ensure HR practices align with California state labor laws, federal requirements, and company policies.
- Support HR audits, reporting, and compliance documentation as needed.
7. Employee Experience & Engagement
- Assist in organizing internal events, recognition programs, and morale-boosting activities.
- Proactively identify opportunities to improve employee engagement and office culture.
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of HR Generalist or HR Coordinator experience, preferably in a multicultural or bilingual environment.
- Fluency in Korean and English (verbal and written).
- In-depth understanding of U.S. labor and employment law, HR compliance
- Strong communication, multitasking, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational ability.
- Proficient in Google Workspace and HRIS systems
