StevenDouglas is engaged on a search for a well-rounded HR Generalist to support day-to-day HR operations, benefits administration, recruiting coordination, and employee engagement initiatives. This role is ideal for a hands-on professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys contributing across the full employee lifecycle. The role based in central Austin works on a 2 days in office per week hybrid schedule.
Key Responsibilities
HR Operations & Systems
• Administer and optimize the Paycor HRIS, ensuring data accuracy and efficient processes
• Support HR systems integrations, including implementation, configuration, and enhancements
• Maintain employee records, reporting, and compliance documentation; assist with audits
• Support bi-weekly and monthly payroll, including multi-state tax requirements
• Assist with maintaining and updating the employee handbook and HR policies
Recruiting & Talent Coordination
• Serve as a liaison between external recruiters, candidates, and hiring managers
• Coordinate candidate scheduling, travel, and overall interview logistics
• Manage recruiting processes, including reference checks
Benefits Administration
• Support administration of employee benefits programs, including medical, dental, vision, and ancillary plans
• Serve as a resource for employee benefits inquiries and issue resolution
• Administer and support the company 401(k) plan
• Partner with plan administrators, legal counsel, and auditors to ensure compliance and manage audits
• Provide employee education and support related to retirement plans
Employee Relations & HR Support
• Act as a trusted resource to employees and managers on HR policies, procedures, and best practices
• Assist in developing and updating job descriptions
• Support full employee lifecycle activities, including onboarding, performance management, and offboarding
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and company policies
Performance Management
• Support performance review cycles, goal-setting processes, and documentation
• Assist managers with performance improvement plans (PIPs) and coaching resources
Culture & Engagement
• Support employee engagement initiatives through creative programming and activities
• Coordinate company events and culture-building efforts to enhance the employee experience
Qualifications
Education
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
Experience & Skills
• 5+ years of HR Generalist experience
• Extensive hands-on experience with Paycor (required)
• Proven experience supporting HR systems implementation and integration
• Experience administering or supporting 401(k) programs
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential information
• Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills
• Working knowledge of multi-state employment laws and regulations
