This position offers a leadership opportunity for an HR professional who combines strategic perspective with hands‑on execution and is motivated by building effective people practices, supporting complex operations, and leading teams through change. The Director of Human Resources will provide oversight and direction across all core HR disciplines while partnering closely with senior leaders and departmental stakeholders. Key Responsibilities:
Human Resources Leadership & Strategy:
- Serve as a strategic advisor to senior leadership on workforce planning, organizational effectiveness, and people‑related initiatives.
- Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with organizational goals, operational needs, and regulatory requirements.
- Provide insight on workforce trends, risks, and opportunities.
Talent Management & Workforce Planning:
- Oversee recruitment, hiring, and onboarding processes for a broad range of roles.
- Support workforce planning, succession planning, and retention strategies.
- Utilize workforce data and labor market insights to inform staffing decisions.
Employee Relations & Engagement:
- Lead employee relations activities including investigations, documentation, and corrective actions.
- Promote a professional, inclusive, and performance‑driven culture.
- Coach and advise leaders on performance management, employee communication, and engagement efforts.
Compliance, Policy & Risk Management:
- Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local employment regulations.
- Maintain HR policies, procedures, records, and audit readiness.
- Serve as a resource to leadership on employment practices, risk mitigation, and policy interpretation.
Compensation, Benefits & Payroll Partnership:
- Oversee compensation practices, salary administration, and market alignment.
- Manage employee benefits programs, vendor relationships, and annual renewals.
- Partner with finance and payroll teams to ensure accurate and compliant payroll processes.
Performance Management & Development:
- Lead performance review and feedback processes.
- Support leaders with coaching, performance improvement planning, and disciplinary guidance.
- Promote leadership development, training, and employee professional growth initiatives.
HR Operations & Team Leadership:
- Lead and develop an HR team supporting multiple functional areas.
- Oversee HR systems and data integrity; support continuous process improvement.
- Ensure effective onboarding processes including background checks, system access, and required documentation.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
- MBA or Master’s Degree preferred.
- Professional certifications preferred.
- 5+ years at the HR Director level experience with progressive leadership responsibility.
- Prior experience in healthcare, nonprofit, or similarly regulated environments strongly preferred.
- Comprehensive knowledge of HR best practices, employment law, and compliance requirements.
- Broad HR expertise across employee relations, benefits, compensation, payroll, and talent strategy.
- Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop both HR professionals and operational leaders.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams, influence leaders, and operate effectively in complex organizations.
- Experience leveraging HR systems and workforce data to inform decision‑making.
- Collaborative, grounded leadership style with the ability to balance strategic thinking and operational execution.
- Comfortable operating in a visible role with responsibility across organizational levels.
Compensation Range: $140,000 - $160,000
