Story Homes is a real estate investment company based in Irvine, CA. We've been in the wholesale real estate space since 2024, closing hundreds of deals across Southern California. Our team of 40+ agents operates across Los Angeles, Orange County, Riverside, San Bernardino, San Diego and Northern California. We're scaling fast and we need a recruiter who can keep up.
About the Role
We are looking for a driven and resourceful Recruiter to join our growing team in Irvine. In this role, you will own the end-to-end recruiting process for our sales organization, with a primary focus on identifying, engaging, and onboarding high-performing real estate agents (1099 independent contractors). This is a proactive, outreach-first role: you will not simply manage inbound applications. You will be expected to actively source, pipeline, and build lasting relationships with top agent talent across the market.

You'll be the first dedicated recruiter at Story Homes. This isn't a cog-in-the-machine role; you'll build the recruiting function from the ground up and directly impact our growth trajectory.
What You’ll Do
- Proactively source and engage real estate agent talent
- Hit quarterly hiring targets (10+ agents per quarter)
- Conduct phone screens and evaluate candidate fit
- Coordinate interviews and keep candidates engaged throughout the process
- Manage requisitions and candidate tracking in ATS with accuracy and timely updates
- Provide data driven candidate reports
- Reduce time-to-fill for agent roles to under 30 days
- Report to the Operations Manager weekly on pipeline health, conversion rates, and sourcing channel performance.
What We’re Looking For
- 2+ years of recruiting or talent acquisition experience
- Experience recruiting commission-only or 1099 independent contractors in real estate, insurance, or similar sales environments
- Experience with ATS platforms (Workable preferred)
- Familiarity with Indeed Smart Sourcing or similar sourcing tools
- Strong outbound sourcing and relationship-building skills
- Organized, proactive, and strong with follow-through
- Able to manage multiple open roles in a fast-paced environment
- $75,000–$90,000 base salary (performance bonuses available)
