Overview
The Human Resources Director, Talent Management & Culture, leads the strategy and execution of programs that strengthen leadership capability, elevate employee experience, and build a culture that supports growth across our business. This role oversees talent management, succession planning, culture initiatives, and engagement programs across stores, supply chain, and corporate teams.
The Director partners closely with HRBPs, Learning & Development, and senior business leaders to build an employee-centric, performance-driven culture that fuels business results and strengthens the company’s reputation as an employer of choice.
Responsibilities
Talent Management
- Design and lead enterprise talent management strategies, including performance management, succession planning, and high-potential development.
- Create competency frameworks and capability models aligned with retail operational excellence.
- Lead talent reviews; identify critical roles, gaps, and development plans.
- Implement tools and processes that strengthen the leadership pipeline across functions.
Employee Engagement & Experience
- Lead the employee engagement strategy, including surveys, action planning, and enterprise reporting.
- Build engagement programs tailored for frontline employees to drive retention and motivation.
- Partner with Operations and HR Business Partners to improve store-level engagement and communication.
- Oversee company-wide recognition programs ensuring they are meaningful and scalable.
Culture Strategy & Change Leadership
- Develop and execute the enterprise culture strategy aligned with values and operational goals.
- Lead culture diagnostics (surveys, focus groups, sentiment analysis) to identify strengths and opportunities.
- Partner with leaders to embed cultural priorities into behaviors and communication.
- Guide leaders through organizational changes to ensure alignment in messages and expectations.
Enterprise Programs & Cross-Functional Leadership
- Lead cross-functional efforts with HRBPs, Learning & Development, Communications, and HRIS.
- Oversee program measurement, reporting, and continuous improvement using data and employee feedback.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Organizational Development, Psychology, Business, or related field.
- 8-12+ years of HR experience focused on talent management, culture, or leadership development.
- Experience in a multi-unit retail environment.
- Strong expertise in designing and implementing enterprise talent programs.
- Demonstrated success influencing senior leaders and driving cultural initiatives.
- Skilled in facilitation, leadership coaching, and program design.
Preferred
- Master’s degree in HR, OD, Business, or related discipline.
- Certifications in coaching, leadership development, or organizational development.
- Experience with talent systems (Workday Talent modules and SuccessFactors).

Benefits
The annual base salary range is $130,000-$160,000, this range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary for this position. This role is also eligible to receive short term incentives that align with individual and company performance. Salary will be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
