About the Role
A growing, multi‑unit hospitality group is seeking a hands‑on HR Manager to oversee core HR operations across several restaurant locations and a central corporate office. This role serves as the operational bridge between employees, managers, payroll, accounting, and external partners.
The ideal candidate is bilingual (English/Spanish), highly organized, compliance‑focused, and comfortable supporting a high‑volume, fast‑paced environment. This position is perfect for someone who thrives in a people‑centric role while maintaining strong documentation, accuracy, and HR process discipline.
Key Responsibilities
Recruiting & Onboarding
- Manage full‑cycle recruitment for hourly and salaried roles across multiple venues.
- Post and manage job ads across hiring platforms.
- Conduct onboarding including HRIS setup, I‑9 verification, E‑Verify, tax forms, and new‑hire documentation.
HR Operations & Systems
- Maintain accurate employee records in HRIS and workforce management systems.
- Support implementation and administration of HRIS and payroll platforms.
- Coordinate timekeeping validation and payroll corrections with internal teams.
- Issue employment documents such as pay stubs, W‑2s, and employment verifications.
Employee Relations & Compliance
- Serve as a resource for employees and managers regarding HR policies, payroll, benefits, and documentation.
- Support managers with employee relations, conflict de‑escalation, and disciplinary processes.
- Ensure compliance with labor laws, company policies, and documentation standards.
- Oversee workers’ compensation cases and assist with audits and reporting.
Benefits & Engagement
- Administer employee benefits and assist with open enrollment.
- Coordinate training programs and support internal learning platforms.
- Assist with employee engagement initiatives, recognition programs, and wellness activities.
Cross‑Functional Support
- Partner with payroll, accounting, operations, and external vendors to ensure smooth HR workflows.
- Conduct on‑site visits to multiple locations as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, Psychology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum 2 years of HR experience, preferably in multi‑location or high‑volume environments.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish.
- Experience with HRIS platforms and workforce management systems.
- Strong understanding of labor laws, workers’ compensation, and HR compliance.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- High attention to detail and ability to manage sensitive information.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast‑paced setting.
