Due to our exponential growth, The State Group is seeking a seasoned HR professional to manage the human resources function across the United States and Canada.

Reporting to the Chief Human Resources Officer, this position partners closely with the organization to drive talent strategy, organizational effectiveness, legal compliance, and HR operational excellence across a growing organization. WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Partner with executive leadership to develop and execute HR strategies that support organizational growth and performance.
- Lead enterprise HR functions, including compensation and benefits, talent acquisition, organizational development, employee relations, and compliance.
- Drive workforce planning, leadership development, and succession strategies to build a strong leadership pipeline.
- Ensure compliance with U.S. and Canadian employment laws and HR best practices.
- Implement and interpret policies and procedures to ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and corporate requirements.
- Responsible for the training, development, and performance of direct reports.
- Support key business initiatives, including organizational change, growth initiatives, and mergers and acquisitions.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to the organization regarding workforce strategy, culture, and organizational effectiveness.
WHAT YOU NEED TO JOIN OUR TEAM
- 10+ years of progressive HR experience, including supervisory experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field.
- Demonstrated understanding of compensation and benefits, talent acquisition, organizational development, and employment law compliance.
- Experience supporting U.S. operations required, Canadian HR experience preferred.
- Experience supporting multi-location operations in complex environments.
- Ability to travel 20%-25%.
- Master’s degree and SPHR/SHRM-SCP certification preferred.
- Construction industry and union relations experience is a plus.
