The Role
As the Human Resources Manager for Netflix House Dallas, you’ll be the people leader at the heart of the experience. You’ll shape the on-site culture, champion employee sentiment, and serve as a trusted partner to the General Manager and leadership team. From high-impact HR business partnering and complex employee relations, to guiding leadership hiring and elevating manager capability, you’ll connect what’s happening on the floor to the broader Netflix HR vision—translating strategy into a world‑class experience for our people and our guests.
What You Will Do
- Develop and lead all day-to-day HR efforts for Netflix House, with a strong focus on site culture, employee sentiment, and leadership effectiveness.
- Serve as the primary HR partner to the General Manager and management team, providing coaching on org design, talent planning, team health, and change management.
- Oversee end-to-end recruitment and resource planning for management and key roles, while partnering with the HR Specialist on strategy and planning for high-volume hourly hiring.
- Shape longer-term workforce and talent plans to support operational excellence and an exceptional guest and employee experience.
- Lead complex and sensitive employee relations matters involving the management team and escalated crew issues, ensuring fair, consistent, values-aligned outcomes in partnership with Legal and central HR.
- Ensure all employees and practices meet local jurisdictional requirements, including employment documentation, training verifications, and ongoing regulatory and policy compliance.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the local geographic market, including competitor analysis, salary trends, and HR best practices, and translate insights into on-site strategies.
- Understand the broader Netflix Experiences business strategy and HR philosophy, and continually adjust on-site HR strategies and priorities as the business evolves.
- Establish regular meetings and communication rhythms with key stakeholders and corporate HR cross-functional partners to share updates, insights, and feedback.
- Lead and continually improve onboarding for leaders and key roles, in partnership with the wider management team and training partners.
- Partner with leaders as a critical inclusion & diversity thought partner, and help define and execute plans for increasing representation and building inclusive teams.
- Promote and foster a mindset of continuous innovation in all HR practices, using data and feedback to test, learn, and iterate on what best supports our people and our guests.
What We Need From You
- 10+ years of HR generalist/HRBP experience, ideally in hospitality, retail, F&B, or similarly high-volume, frontline environments.
- Proven experience as a site-level or business-facing HR partner to senior leaders (e.g., GM, department heads), with a track record of influencing leadership decisions and org design.
- Demonstrated success in building, developing, and supporting high-performing teams, including coaching leaders and managers to raise the bar on talent and performance.
- Strong knowledge of the local talent market and hiring practices, with hands-on experience leading end-to-end recruitment for onsite roles—including leadership, management, and shift-based employees.
- Solid understanding of local/regional labor laws and regulations, and experience ensuring compliance across employment documentation, training requirements, and HR policies.
- Experience with employee relations, including handling complex, sensitive, or escalated issues in a fair, consistent, and pragmatic way.
- Strong grounding in training and development strategies, with experience elevating manager capability and supporting performance management practices.
- Comfort with data and analytics—able to explore and interpret HR and people data (e.g., turnover, sentiment, ER trends) to surface insights and shape decisions.
- Demonstrated ability to lead through change and ambiguity, adjusting strategies as the business evolves while maintaining operational excellence on the ground.
- A clear commitment to building a safe, inclusive, and diverse workplace, and experience embedding inclusion & diversity principles into hiring, development, and day-to-day practices.
- Exceptional communication skills—clear, candid, and concise across verbal, written, and digital channels—with an ability to tailor messages for crew, managers, and senior leaders.
- Strong leadership presence, integrity, and judgment—someone others naturally turn to for guidance on complex people topics.
- A willingness to challenge the status quo, and a strong desire to experiment, innovate, and continually improve the HR and employee experience at Netflix House.
Generally, our compensation structure consists solely of an annual salary; we do not have bonuses. You choose each year how much of your compensation you want in salary versus stock options. To determine your personal top of market compensation, we rely on market indicators and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience to determine your compensation in the market range. The range for this role is $136,000.00 - $186,000.00.
