Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Director of People, Culture & Equity (HR) at our Tinley Park, IL location. The Director of People, Culture, & Equity is the first point of contact for new and potential employees. The primary task is to ensure a qualified candidate pool, an effective on boarding process, and support for matters that arise. Additionally, this leader will support positive organizational culture by supporting other leaders, resourcing the team with professional development opportunities, and planning team celebrations. The Director of People, Culture & Equity proactively and creatively addresses employee matters.
Impact
The Director of People, Culture, & Equity has a direct role in ensuring student success by supporting a psychologically safe school culture for the entire school community. Also, they ensure that the iCan Dream Center is staffed with the best candidates to optimize student potential. Additionally, the Director of People, Culture & Culture creates a professional development program to ensure that team members are immersed in research-affirmed, culturally relevant, and trauma-informed instructional practices.
Qualifications
- Expertise in Human Resources, talent management, and workforce planning
- Strong knowledge and experience in developing, implementing, and enforcing HR Policies
- Proficiency in Employee Relations to foster a positive work environment and handle conflict resolution effectively
- Experience in overseeing Performance Management systems, employee evaluations, and training initiatives
- Comprehensive understanding of Labor and Employment Law to ensure compliance
- Exceptional leadership, organizational, and communication skills
- Commitment to equity and cultural competence in all HR practices
- Master's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Psychology, or a related field is preferred
