Position Overview
The HR Manager will serve as the People & Culture presence for the US employee population of a growing global organization.
This is a hands on role for someone who will hire great talent, keep systems up to date & running smoothly and make sure the US team feels supported, able to do their best work, and continuing to grow! This is a true builder role.
Key Responsibilities:
Hiring
- Own end-to-end hiring for our US roles (Sales, Customer Success, Operations)
- Work directly with founders and leaders to define who we need and why
- Source, interview, and close top talent in a competitive market
- Build a hiring experience that candidates actually enjoy
Operations
- Handle contracts, onboarding, benefits, payroll inputs, and compliance for the US team
- Make sure nothing falls through the cracks as we scale
- Build simple, clear, and scalable HR processes (no unnecessary bureaucracy)
People & Culture
- First stop for employees when something is unclear, difficult, or exciting
- Coach managers on feedback, performance, and growth conversations
- Help us build a culture of trust, ownership, and high performance
Growth/Scaling
- Spot problems before they become painful
- Improve how we hire, onboard, and retain people as the team grows
- Work closely with our global People team to keep us aligned while moving fast
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in a People / HR / People Ops role in a startup, scale-up, or fast-moving company
- Strong hands-on experience in Talent Acquisition and running HR operations
- A solid understanding of US employment law and compliance
- A pragmatic, business-minded approach - you think in solutions, not policies
- High empathy and great communication skills
- Strong organizational, critical thinking and communications skills
- Attention to detail and good judgement
